About Us

Welcome to Arcona Alpacas, home of multiple National Champions, including Son's Revelation, and Poseidon of Grace. We were fortunate to purchase the foundation of our herd from our good friends, Gary, Beth, and Jessica Slater of Pine Valley Suri Farm in Ohio. These animals represent some of the finest genetics in the country and brought the Slaters great success over 15 years, including being named 2012 Small Breeder of the Year. The cornerstone of our herd was Accoyo Clara, who came with the last import in 1998 with a micron of 14.5. Sadly, Clara passed away in 2015, but her extraordinary legacy of fine, brilliantly lustrous fleece and gentle personality lives on through her many offspring. Posthumously, Clara won the MAPACA 2015 Spirit of the Industry award. (MFD: 22.4 SD: .5 COV: 20.3% FG30: 5.2%). We are loaded with many champions. It is our goal to continue to improve upon the wonderful fleece, personality and conformation characteristics of our herd through our breeding program.

Please come visit our farm. We are a multi-generational operation, including our Dad, at a spry 95 years, 8 siblings, 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren who all love the Alpacas.
